What This App Is
The Desktop App is the primary way you interact with Jarvis. It runs on your computer, stays open in the background, and acts as your personal interface to everything Jarvis can do.
Think of it as two things in one: a voice interface that is always ready to hear you, and a control panel that lets you see exactly what Jarvis is doing at any moment.
You do not have to type anything. You just talk.
What It Does
Listens for you
The app keeps your microphone active in the background, quietly monitoring for the moment you need Jarvis. It knows the difference between background noise, a conversation happening around you, and you directly speaking to it. When you say “Jarvis”, it pays attention to what comes next and acts on it.
Talks back
When Jarvis has something to say — a confirmation, a question, an update — it speaks back to you through your speakers or headphones. You can have a full back-and-forth conversation without ever touching your keyboard.
Connects to your environment
The Desktop App is the bridge between Jarvis and your physical machine. Through this app, Jarvis gains the ability to see your screen, read local files, and interact with your computer on your behalf — things that would not be possible if Jarvis only lived in the cloud. Every one of these capabilities requires your explicit permission and can be turned off at any time.
Shows you what is happening
A live dashboard gives you full visibility into Jarvis at all times. You can see the words being transcribed as you speak, which tasks are currently running, and what tools are active. Nothing happens invisibly.
What You See
The app’s interface is built around a central dashboard that surfaces everything in one place.
Live transcription — As you speak, your words appear on screen in real time. This lets you confirm that Jarvis is hearing you correctly before it acts.
Session status — Shows whether the current conversation is active, paused, or listening in the background.
Active tasks — A live view of anything Jarvis is currently working on, so you always know when something is in progress.
Connected tools — A list of the external services Jarvis has access to in the current session, such as Jira or GitHub.
Controls — Simple toggles to mute your microphone, disable screen access, or pause Jarvis entirely. You are always in control of what the app can and cannot do.
Who This App Is For
This app is for the person who wants Jarvis as a constant presence — someone who works across tools, takes meetings, writes code, and wants an assistant that keeps up without requiring them to stop and type.
It is the only interface where the full Jarvis experience is available: voice in, voice out, local machine access, and real-time visibility into everything happening.

The Desktop App is one of several ways to interact with Jarvis, but it is the most capable. While a Telegram bot or a Discord integration can handle text-based requests, only the Desktop App can:

Everything the Desktop App captures — your voice, the context of your meetings, your instructions — is sent securely to the Jarvis Core, which handles the intelligence, the memory, and the integrations. The Desktop App handles the human side; the Core handles the rest.
